Terms of Service

Last updated 8 September 2026.

Before you rely on this: this was drafted to match how the product actually behaves, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have a solicitor check it — particularly the liability and governing-law sections — and fill in the operator name and jurisdiction marked below.

1. The agreement

These terms are between you and [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME — fill this in] ("we", "us"). By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, please do not use PlayForgeBDE.

2. Your account

You need an account to save work. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age where you live if that is higher.

3. Your games are yours

You own everything you create here — your rules, your components, your artwork, your rulebooks, your published games. We claim no ownership of them and we acquire no right to sell, license or make our own version of your game.

You give us only the narrow permission we need to actually run the service: to store your work, to display it back to you, and — when you choose to publish a game — to show that published version to the people you published it for. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

4. What you may not upload

You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload. Please do not put anything here that:

We may remove content that breaks these rules and, for serious or repeated breaches, suspend an account. Where we can, we will tell you why first.

5. Plans, payment and cancellation

6. The AI assistant

The assistant makes suggestions. It can be wrong, and it does not know your game better than you do. Every change it proposes is shown to you before it is applied, and every change it makes can be undone. You remain responsible for the design decisions you accept.

Your prompts and the relevant part of your game are sent to our AI provider to produce a reply — see the Privacy Policy. Do not use the assistant for anything you would not want a third party to process.

Do not use the assistant to generate unlawful content, or attempt to extract another user's data through it.

7. Publishing

Publishing a game creates a public copy of one specific saved version. Your private workspace stays private — the drafts, the versions you did not publish, and your unpublished artwork are not exposed by publishing. You can withdraw a published game at any time; withdrawing hides it from the public and does not delete your project.

8. Your work, and your backups

We take your projects seriously: they are stored in a real database, deleting is a move to Trash rather than an erase, and versions are kept so you can go back. Even so, please export a backup of anything you would be upset to lose (Settings → Export backup). No online service should be your only copy of months of work.

9. Availability

We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may take it down for maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service altogether, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your work first.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or lost data beyond what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

11. Ending the agreement

You may stop using PlayForgeBDE and delete your account at any time. We may end this agreement if you seriously break these terms. On termination you may export your work; after a reasonable period we may delete it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — fill this in], and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms: [CONTACT EMAIL — fill this in].
